In that case, and for my sake, I really hope Wilder is not made boss of Burton. I can’t imagine what it’s like just trying to manage nerps..

Anyway, given that all of your predictions come true we have nothing to worry about it seems.

Who should be Burton Albion's next manager?
Steve Cotterill (33.5%)
Mark Robins (10.7%)
Chris Wilder (7.0%)
Darren Stride (39.9%)
John Ward (8.9%)

Total Votes 820 Closing date 10-May-2009

So I don't think their fans want him.

And this does not suggest he is a front runner.

I think that the only certainty in this debate is that few people know exactly what Wilder’s current contract terms are at the moment, but we’d all like them adjusted a tiny bit more in his favour given the job he's done for Us since Christmas, just in case, eh?

No need for a poll on this or any other website on that issue.

I voted for Mark Robins. I figured he'd take them back down quicker than the other nominees.

Can't even remember who I voted for other than it wasn't CW. Perhaps 93% of the votes have come from Oxford fans.

Hopefully this will put an end to any speculation.

I suspect the whole thing is a rather bitter ploy by the Burton chairman to try and unsettle Wilder, especially after Robinson and Kelvin had an almighty stand-up row at half-time when Oxford played at Burton.

Hmmm, the rolling contract thing might be a bit of a worry, what period is it rolling over? if it's a month then he's essentially on the same contract as you and me and Burton wouldn't need permission if Wilder were to resign, of which there must be a temptation if a 3 year deal were on the table.

P.S. I accept that you may not yet be on a monthly contract boris.

I'm not on any contract mate.

Gizza job!

You won't need one once you get that book published, a life of luxury awaits.

This http://www.oufc.co.uk/page/News/0,,1034 ... 65,00.html seems pretty definative.

By the way how do you do that trick with getting the URL as a quote?

Well, it will be when he signs that 3 year deal.

To embed urls do this

you write text

What was the stand up row all about Boris?
