UE: The 12 managers on the shortlist each manage the side for 7.5 minutes on a trial basis. The performances are marked in turn by Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips and Bruno Tonioli and then the contest is opened up to a public vote. Unfortunately David Kemp is on the short list, and during his 7.5 minutes his team concedes 8 (eight) goals. However the public &quotsympathy vote&quot for him in their droves for him and he wins the competition and gets the job.
If the last part happens I shall stand at the front of the East Stand and eat my season ticket.

Nick Harris persuades Nick Merry to back Lennie Lawrence for the post of manager. Lawrence, who arrives at the game, agrees to stand, but only because he wants to marry Ian Lenagan's daughter, who is actually held captive in Lenagan's Wigan home to stop her running off with Lawrence: secretly, she has had Lawrence's lovechild. Merry goes among the fans to whip up support for Lawrence.

Well, I just turned up very briefly but it only seemed to accept one comment out of three I left so I'm off to the bus station...
