Thin on the ground aren't they?!
And in preparation for the opening game, I'm going to be reading 'Wouldn't it be nice', Brain Wilson's autobiography on my holidays next week.

Re: Oldham v Oxford Utd
It's the BIG kick-off this Saturday in League One.
All roads lead to SportsDirect.Com Park Oldham this Saturday with the new look U's
chasing their first ever win at the Latics. This Greater Manchester outpost has been a graveyard for United.
Eleven U's defeats in 15 matches with just NINE goals being scored by the Yellows.
Pep Clotet Ruiz will be in charge of his first competitive encounter and is busy trying to bring in a couple of players
ahead of Saturday but could have to wait until later in the window to secure his preferences.
Oldham under John Sheridan will be a tough nut to crack after winning their battle against
relegation last term and the Latics boss is busy trying to bring in a new 'keeper with two triallists
on show in Tuesday night's defeat at home to a Manchester United eleven. Sheridan is believed to
be running the rule over Kyle Letheren and Ben Wilson with top target Conor Ripley looking
to move to a fellow Championship club from Middlesbrough. Sheridan is also looking at bringing
in John Welsh from Preston NE.
Oldham have signed Dan Gardner from Chesterfield, ex U Craig Davies from Scunthorpe,
Tope Obadeyi from Birmingham, Rob Hunt from Brighton and Courtney Duffus from Everton.
Last time out:
Latics 2-1 U's
Eastwood; Edwards, Dunkley, Nelson, Johnson; Maguire, Ledson, Lundstram, Hall; McAleny, Hemmings.
Two goals from Latics on loan Leeds Utd striker Lee Erwin saw the tired looking U's fall to a disappointing defeat
on March 14th. Chris Maguire with a second half pen to level it at 1-1.
Fact:
Striker Peter Foley made his debut at Boundary Park on March 2nd 1975 and
left back Wayne Hatswell made his U's league debut at Oldham on December 6th 2000.
