A few changes at the bookies:
Viera has surprisingly emerged as favourite to take over at St James' Park - risky on both behalfs,
Sean Dyche is now edging Big Sam at the front of the queue for Sunderland, with Philip Cocu high up as well
Doubt there'll be any more departures (or at least sackings) at this stage, so it will be more about positions being filled, with presumably three or four likely to be finalised this week (not including the rubber stamping of 1st June replacements for out of contract departures - Warburton, Westley, etc)

Re: Managerial Merry-go-round
Plymouth fans were agitating against Sheridan as soon as they fell out of the play-offs in the middle of the season. I thought then that they should be careful what they wished for.OUFC4eva wrote:Andy Awford linked with the Plymouth job.

And another vacancy emerges:

I'm surprised that you can 'sack' a caretaker manager, as they are only temporary anyway. Surely they just revert back to their old job, like Mad Dog? Then again, this is Newcastle United, so actually I'm not surprised.

Re: Managerial Merry-go-round
I think he has been sacked from the club as a whole, including his old job.. so that Steve McLaren (oops, the 'new manager') can bring in his own people. The Enforcer wrote:And another vacancy emerges:
