Deano's scored for Stoke!

Post by joepoolman »

Is it just me that thinks that's a really proud moment for the club? When was the last time an ex-player, and a product of the youth system at that, scored in Europe?

He didn't score in Europe.

Sorry to be pedantic.

Ok then. I'll start the bidding with Dave Roberts.

Or if you mean in Europe I'll go for Hugh Curran.

And yes, they are both ex-players.

Keith Andrews scored for Brazil a couple of years ago! Only a friendly though.

Anyway, I'll go for Steve Anthrobus, who scored for TNS against Amica Wronki in a 2002 UEFA cup tie

I was just about to post something like that. Then I remembered - they were playing away...

If we're being pedantic, since when has Israel been part of Europe? Unless they've been grabbing more land in the past few weeks without me noticing. &ltopens hornets' nest, sits back&gt

I don't think that's pedantic, I think that was the point. Israel ain't in Europe and thus Deano didn't score in Europe.

If we're being really pedantic, you should really close that tag
