Deano's scored for Stoke!
Is it just me that thinks that's a really proud moment for the club? When was the last time an ex-player, and a product of the youth system at that, scored in Europe?

He didn't score in Europe."joepoolman" wrote:Is it just me that thinks that's a really proud moment for the club? When was the last time an ex-player, and a product of the youth system at that, scored in Europe?
Sorry to be pedantic.

Or if you mean in Europe I'll go for Hugh Curran.

And yes, they are both ex-players.

Keith Andrews scored for Brazil a couple of years ago! Only a friendly though.
Anyway, I'll go for Steve Anthrobus, who scored for TNS against Amica Wronki in a 2002 UEFA cup tie

I was just about to post something like that. Then I remembered - they were playing away..."Sideshow Rob" wrote:Stoke was in Europe the last time I looked."Snake" wrote:He didn't score in Europe."joepoolman" wrote:Is it just me that thinks that's a really proud moment for the club? I don't think that's pedantic, I think that was the point. Israel ain't in Europe and thus Deano didn't score in Europe."YF Dan" wrote:If we're being pedantic, since when has Israel been part of Europe?
