Football Manager 2011 and YouTube

Post by Swissbloke »

Forgive me for my obvious sales pitch,

But for those of you that are interested Football Manager 2011 is out today and it has this funky new feature where you can upload match highlights and goals to YouTube.

Here's my debut as Oxford Manager in our return to League 2.

It's out in the shops or you can download it and be playing in 30mins from Steam or any of the other fine digital download stores worldwide.

Enjoy.

Have been playing the Demo, and it's pretty good. I've gone for Weston-super-Mare, on the basis they are the lowest ranked team in the BSS. Few odd points from me:

- Manager mind-games/comments are a lot more prevalent, which is good
- Loony attacking strategies seem less successful for me than before - maybe it's only me, but 'vanilla' tactics seem to work well.
- The player conversation feature is OK once you're used to it, but could (and should) be the focus of a fair bit of work before the 2012 game. Pretty easy to piss players off as it stands.
- 3D match engine looks better, albeit with some quirks.

Swissbloke - is it true that the English leagues are going to be playable down to Tier 7?

Weston super Mare - one player is good (Slocombe), two of the DCs are OK (Rand, Farmer), the rest are awful. My ex-centre forward Marcus Duharty enjoyed a 16% shots on target rating before I clicked on the mutual termination button.

A similar result in a week's time would do very nicely.
