Without wishing to spoil the image of Crawley overspending flamboyantly, isn't it a lawnmower?

And probably less likely to burst into flames and therefore less likely to be the subject of an insurance claim.

No, surely it must be a ferrari.

If it was Portman Road I would say it was a Massey Ferguson tractor.

In fact I think it is anyway.

Which is odd. Massey Ferguson made the one and only 4WD racing car to win a F1 race*.

So come on you trivia buffs. What brand name did it race under.

No cheating with google please.

* one for you grammar experts &quota F1 race&quot or &quotan F1 race&quot?

I think you're right but for the wrong reason. Nothing to do with a single letter. Would an T-bag, an T-shirt or an G-string be correct? It depends on the pronunciation (or should that be enunciation?).

Having written that i think you're right, although teabag and tee-shirt are not single letters. G-string has got me stumped though, as well as G-force. Perhaos it's just Gs?

I think it's one of those rules that can be adopted however you want, like the way it should be an before an H (an horse, an hotel) but isn't because of the difficulties of speech

I was taught to use a before a consonant and an before a vowel or silent h.

However I didn't know if you would read F1 as eff one or formula one.

Hence my dilemma.

Back to the original question for which nobody has offered a solution in 24 hours.

First time I have seen this, looks like a Kubota to me.

At the risk of incurring KY's wrath, surely the Rooney to Crawley rumours can't be far off......

:)

Even I would consider that an interesting development in the tedious Rooney saga.

However, judging by all of the quotes in the Pires article above, the only story here appears to be 'Crawley court publicity'.
