Would be great to make this board our new home, but some may be put off by it's reputation for being a bit more sophisticated than the old venue. Was that comma in the right place?

Re:
Personally I prefer the thought of all the threads on one forum rather than having the interminable arguments about posts being in the wrong category or everyone posting their bollocks in matches anyway because that gets the most traffic. However, if the majority prefer the board to be split (more than it already is) then I'm prepared to consider it. For now, though, let's see how it goes before making lots of changes that might affect the character of this board."Millman" wrote:I do recognise some of the posters here and the layout is good. However still early days and the traffic is a bit light. Also the categories while fine for light traffic are not as well designed for a heavier load (it will end up with one category used for 90% of posts and if busy threads would disappear off the screen pretty quick).

Feeling like a pint of Foster's is fine. With you on that - the only word of caution (and this was one of my bug bears), was the tendancy to have 4 or 5 threads sometimes on the same topic. If that happened on here, you would have some danger of swamping the board and losing some good topics (such as some of the indepth and involved ones on the TiU management section)."GodalmingYellow" wrote:Agreed. Saying that, it's all early days.

Newsquest have dropped a big goolie over their handling of the TIU closedown.
