Counting my chickens Hat
Counting my chickens Hat
Who would like to start and who exactly (Frank) is in the lead in the 2009/2010 Hat, just out of mild interest?

Wember Leys 3 North Ants 0
Constable, Midson, M Green
11, 467 of which 1,201 from R&D
UE: The bronze ox turns out to be a Weeping Angel. The Tardis lands in the centre circle. The Doctor steps out to save us all and prevent a statuesque Oxford defence. Amy calls for Boris. As the Tardis disappears, Constable goes through one on one with the Rushden keeper beats him and stops the ball on the line, taunting the Rushden players to come and stop him. As one former Oxford player rsuhes towards the goal, Constable gets down on hands and knees and heads the ball over the line.
Brian Lee comes on the PA system proclaiming himself to be and Oxford fan and sings:
Wemberlee, Wemberlee, we're the famous Oxford United and we're going to Wemberleee.
And argumentative old sod faints at the opportunity of seeing Oxford play at Wembley in his lifetime.

An oxymoron surely - if you weren't there in '86 you're still wet behind the ears - not old."GodalmingYellow" wrote:Wember Leys 3 North Ants 0

Wildmen 1 Edinburgians 2
Constable - Farrell, Byrne
12345 (1234)
EE: Oxford bottle it in front of a big crowd.
UE: An A43-shaped crack appears in the fabric of the universe warping time and space, and we're all transported back to 8 May 2007, only this time Ryan Clarke smashes the final penalty against the post and Jefferson Louis misses the one on one with the 'keeper. Where are all the joys of yesterday?

Oxford 2 (Midson, Constable) Rushden 0
11344 (1222)
UE: Brian Lee investigates the crack in space and time in his office and ceases to have ever existed. Oxford get/got their 5 points back and win in the play-offs last season. So the game never happens/ed and this thread disappears up its own existence (yellow submarine).

1-1 AET (and you know the rest)
Chapman, Tomlin
11,605, 911
Tim Henman gives an inspiring half time talk about winning semi-finals. It turns out disaster is not an imposter after all. The Beast sobs: "how can I be free? How can I get help? Am I really me?" A solemn, waiting old man tells him the truth.
