Re:
Just picked up a copy of NLP and they certainly haven't gone easy on the Conference. The front page story is all about how the FA have overturned the Conference decision on the Vics with quotes like:"Matt D" wrote:and they've annoyed mr. lee, so can expect snide comments in the NLP and 'special' attention at the AGM and so on...
"[The Conference had] failed to follow or misinterpreted its own rules"
and that they had "come to a decision to which no reasonable such body should have come"
You have to ask how can Lee continue to survive after such public censure and the growing disquiet amongst current and ex BSP clubs.
Edit: Just read the editorial comment and they have come down clearly on the side of the FA:
"Without wishing to put the boot in [which means they probably do otherwise why mention it?] we've been bewildered by one or two of the Conference's decisions over the last 12 months"

But wasnt the Conference AGM last weekend - surely that would have been the time for someone to raise a vote of no confidence or whatever?
That would be the only way to remove him as he hardly appears like a man that would step down of his own accord.
No, I think we are all stuck with him, & we just have to hope that he gets so carried away with screwing around with everything that he forgets about us and inadvertantly hands us the league on a plate...

Sounds like Matt Le Tissier's consortium are pulling out at Southampton.

The administrator has threatened beginning liquidation proceedings on Friday, and I think all the serious bids have now pulled out, and the players are now beginning to walk. Southampton could easily be the long predicted first big club to go under. I hope they don't and Pinnacle put in a bigger offer."slappy" wrote:Sounds like Matt Le Tissier's consortium are pulling out at Southampton.
