Them 0 Us 1

Guy

Att: 1800 with 700 yellows

UE: The general consensus is that the cottage pie is slightly overdone. This is reported to the kitchen leading to the Head Chef topping himself in the centre circle at halftime out of shame.

Wet 1 (o.g.) Barren 0

2222 (333)

Nick Merry shows up the directors' box with a drink in his hand, boasting about how he saved Oxford United. Three stewards grab him, replace the drink with a bottle of water and padlock his mouth until he stops telling porkies. Moreover, they tell him, far from him saving the club, they have saved him from the wrath of the Oxford fans. Uncharacterstically, he is grateful and, moved by the experience, when they show him a photo of Jan Molby, he falls instantly in love with the portly Dane and pledges to make him manager.

New Kids 2 - 1 On The Block
Richards, Barnes-Homer - Yemi
1565, 449
UE: The game is help up for 15 minutes as a group of Luddites, protesting at the switch-on of the Large Hadron Collider, invade the pitch prior to kick off and stage a sit-down protest. They are persuaded to leave when the more erudite fans explain that there is no danger from microscopic black holes, through the unusual medium of forming the equations for Hawing Radiation using scarves held aloft.
UE2: Young Ben scores from a goal kick with one of his megahoofs.

An historian writes: the Luddites had no problem with new technology, merely with its role in separating them from their employment.

A pleb writes: my dictionary gives both the specific description of Luddites along with the broader definition of one who is opposed to new technology in general.

Plus, I'd think that being sucked into a black hole counts as being seperated from your employment, perhaps?

Actually, I think it would count as being supercompacted into your employment. Don't think you would ever be seperated from your employment again.

That's always assuming your workplace isn't far enough away to be outside the gravitational field of the black hole if that was the case, you'd have a heckuva commute...

UE Whilst skipping through the static Kidderminster defence to notch his first double for the club Jamie Guy is clearly heard singing 'I'm an ape, I'm an ape ape man, I'm an ape man, I'm a King Kong man, I'm a voo-doo man, I'm an ape man'

Them 2 (Richards, Barnes-Homer) Us 1 (Odubade)

Att: 1999 with 499 of Us

UE: Hinchliffe is sent off in the first minute. A food poisoning outbreak at half time means that the second 45 minutes have to be delayed because of several episodes of projectile vomiting onto the pitch. Merry is seen chatting to Debt Doctor whilst pointing to his wallet.

UE: We get through a Kiddy Boot without reference to their catering or mention that a former U must score against us and ... oh! Oxford wear red shorts. And Frank posts his hat and boot more than 20 minutes before kick off.
