Re: Have I Got Old News For You
Sad story of the witness statement from the mother of a Slumdon and Liverpool fan who died aged 24 at Hillsborough. He first started supporting Liverpool following a cup match against Oxford United, presumably the January 1972 3-0 FA Cup 3rd round defeat, when he would have been ten years old. That...

Out of date beer.
Since when has it been acceptable to sell out of date produce? I took one swig of the vastly overpriced Carlsberg in the Kassam yesterday and immediately looked for the best before date because it tasted rank, the date was 01/04/14. I don't buy beer there very often, mainly because of the price but ...

I can't find any evidence of him playing a game this season yet so he may be lacking match fitness. [/understatement]Jimski wrote:36 year old striker hampered by niggling injuries, sounds like just what we need.

Re: Wilder Gone
Apparently there was an incident involving a supporter and Wilder on Tuesday night that ended up with IL getting involved which may (or may not) have had some bearing on Saturday's goings on. It was very obvious that something was amiss on Saturday when neither Chris Wilder, Micky Lewis or any other...

Re: Who ya gonna call...?
Interesting that people are tipping Martin Allen especially as he was at the Kassam last Tuesday.

Re: Promo or no-no?
A fair assesment I'd say.slappy wrote:So I'll go for probability of end of season position as 10% champions, 30% autos, 50% play-offs, and 10% outside of play-offs. If we make the play-offs, I'd go for a 33% chance of getting promoted via the play-offs.

Re: Promo or no-no?
I think we will get to the play offs but not get through so both three and four are appropriate responses. I voted four to keep the curve from being unduly optimistic.

The Oxford players were dropping to the ground like girls as they lived up to their reputation for cheating

I went, I thought we should have done better really especially as they were down to ten men for so long.

Thanks for that, I knew it would be worth a try, that groupsave suggestion is actually going to work well for us.slappy wrote:I've seen quite a few are going from Bicester North using groupsave tickets. I'll be going via Marylebone.

Travel to Wycombe
On the basis that I don't want to drive on Saturday does anybody have any suggestions on options for getting to Wycombe?
