Re: Hands up!
I agree with KE on this. For me the boycott was never about devaluing the JPT as rightly said it had little value anyway. The boycott was a voice against the potential Trojan horse that the tournament was being turned into to one day introduce B Teams to the lower leagues. Now I appreciate that this...

Round three - Chelsea away
Round four - Tottenham away
1991-1992
Round three - Tranmere home
Round four - Sunderland home
I believe it's the first time we've done it when entering the cup at the 1st Rd

Re: One in a row?
Sorry if I'm being stupid, but can someone please answer this question. If everyone agrees it wasn't a first team fixture, why were we forced to play five our first team players? I think that sums up the absolute nonsense of this tournament. The Football League allow the Prem teams to downgrade the...

Re: One in a row?
I am sure that in order to get the Premier League teams to enter the Football League had to agree that this was downgraded from a first team fixture. Appearences, goals and cards don't count towards first team totals. Therefore the game shouldn't either. 6 in a row...

Re: Cockle pickers
To be fair I came across this whilst looking for something else and it made me smile... However I stand by the fact that I could see what Appleton was trying to achieve, I acknowledged that it would take time and would need some different players but was convinced that it would, given time come toge...

Re: Cockle pickers
Totally disagree with almost all of that. I can see exactly what Appleton is trying to create, it will take time and it will take patience. But I do think it will come. Yes we are guilty of over playing at times and lacking the decisive final ball but that will also come with more experience of the...

Re: New pitch
How are we going to solve our goalscoring problem without any goals ? Doesn't anyone at the club know anything about the game ? *shakes head in despair* Surely a lack of goalposts would be a good thing on current form? It would certainly hamper the opposition more than us! You've obviously been wor...

Ok, who's going? When and where are you staying? I'm arriving in Vienna early Saturday afternoon and staying at Hotel Corvinus in Wiener Neustadt itself for 4 nights flying back on Wednesday afternoon. The flights were arranged before the BBQ and get together with the players was announced... Will b...

Patrick Hoban
I think the signing of Patrick Hoban is to date the most significant indicator of the positive direction in which the club is moving. This is a player who was being touted by a couple of SPL clubs and by all accounts is a major coup for a League 2 side. It sounds like we have been tracking him for a...
