Re: MERSTHAM FC
5-0 flattered us, even though ex-Oxford keeper Phil Wilson made several quality saves that otherwise might have made the margin wider. The game was really well organised by Merstham and the way the club handled themselves, including posting people at various road junctions to direct fans to the grou...

Re: MERSTHAM FC
Oh dear! By lunchtime Wednesday we still have 200 unsold tickets (Merstham sold theirs within 90 minutes apparently!). Presumably we promised we'll take up the slack and pay them for any that don't sell? They have been on sale to ST holders only until today, but it is surprising that take up has be...

Re: Lies, damned lies and Millwall
So many mistakes from Manager and players alike in this game. For me we have had a run of games where Appleton has not learned from his mistakes, going back to the MK dons game. He is clearly going to have confidence in his approach, but no one gets it right all the time and you have to learn and co...

Re: MERSTHAM FC
Merstham sold their home allocation in 1 1/2 hours last night. OUFC tickets on sale to season ticket holders in person from 9:30-12:00 on Saturday at the ticket office, or online. It looks like there is a Southern rail strike planned for 5 November, which affects many of the trains calling at Merst...

Covvy break
A bit like MK Dons, it is recommended to book official car parking in advance as there is no street parking within a 20 minute walk of the stadium.

But £10.20? Seriously?

Re: Stadium matters
we're not immovable though, are we? how long left on the lease now? That's a good question and one I've asked before. Searching the forum it seems that DE said at a fans forum a couple of years ago that the lease ran to 2026 (though as Snake then pointed out we actually have a license rather than a...

Re: Stadium matters
And the refusal to call the stadium by its proper name shows that relations have broken down rather alarmingly. Yes, I'd noticed that. Not sure to what extent it's a pointed snub at Kassam or just a marker that the club is no longer his plaything - but I suspect you're right that it's more of the f...

Re: Stadium matters
I think GY is being a little harsh on the Donald family. They have helped the club enormously in the past 6-7 years and SD is a good bloke. Eastleigh FC have got a dream owner haven't they? He's injected millions and converted it to shares and will issue even more Shares taking his investment up to...
Re: Big teams
MApp needs to look beyond Thomas now. He had yet another very poor game and offered virtually nothing. No hold up play, no back tracking, no pressing, no shots, no goals, no defending from the front. It begs the question why he keeps getting selected. Taylor at least offers everything bar the goals ...

Re: Stadium matters
Difficult to know exactly what to make of this. My initial reaction was, WTF are OxVox doing? Pissing off our financial underwriter is not a clever thing to do when we owe him millions and have nothing to repay him with. OxVox have clearly not got the money, nor will ever have the money, to fund the...

Re: Stadium MK
"First they came for Wimbledon, but I wasn't a Wimbledon fan, so I did nothing..." For me, my reasons for boycotting games against Franchise are the same as the reasons I hold ethical investments or buy green energy. I can't stop what other people do, but I can at least make sure that I'm...

Re: Stadium MK
Sorry, I tried to not bite, I really did. But I'm going to. Wimbledon fans have accepted the situation Some have, others haven't. ...boycotting no longer serves a purpose other than self gratification. Whatever we do, or don't do, will not change the position Except that it could if people did it i...

Re: Stadium MK
Its not a non-game. It is a league game, which provides exactly the same rewards as any other. Wimbledon fans have accepted the situation, they have already played at Stadium MK, the club has accepted the position, and just like them, without ever agreeing with MKs right to a FL position, boycotting...
