Re:

Hhhmmm. Really not keen on a non-yellow shirt. Don't mind a bit of trim but come on!! We've not always played in yellow so I'm in favour of the new kit. Yes I know but I'm just a bit stubborn in my ways and it's been predominantly yellow for the 14 years I have been with the club. Am sure I will no...

Surely FIFA might take pity and offer England the mercy of a two year break!

Re:

Interesting stuff. Can absolutely believe that is an open and engaging chap. I did have a good chat with him once back in 1996 outside the Manor but I was only 12 at the time so I suppose it doesn't really count!

Re:

The odds are out for the next manager of England and Denis Smith is not in the enclosed list below. Tsk, that just goes to show what the bookies know. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/england-specials/next-permanent-manager On a more serious note Denis does do a lot for the FA ...

Torquay boss complimenting Oxford over Green transfer

Only a small bit of info but it's interesting to see that the Torquay boss has come out to say he is pleased with the professional manner with which Green was signed by Oxford. Sounds like they are having more difficulties elsewhere...

I have to say I have not seen Green no more than 5 or 6 times on TV last season aside from highlights but all the West Ham season ticket holders at my work are really surprised he is in the squad let alone the team. Not exactly inspiring stuff!!

As an England supporter who believes a quarter final appearence would probably be about the right level for our team's potential I thought yesterday's performance was not too bad. King has a groin injury apparently but like you I really worry about Carragher's pace. It is a shame Barry was not fully...

BBC Radio Oxford documentary on return to the league

I imagine most have already seen this, but the BBC iPlayer has an hour long documentary on Oxford's return to the football league from BBC Radio Oxford yesterday. Has plenty of Wilder discussing the week before the final which is interesting. The bit about Creighton causing the team coach to crash a...

Brilliant! Such a likable chap it seems to me is our Alfie. Players of his calibre are so rare at our level so I'm really glad we've got his signature. I'm not even overly concerned about whether he starts every week as I've always been a fan of having something different on the sidelines to shake t...

Steve Claridge plays Mystic Meg

In case you haven't read it yet, you can read Mr No-shin-pads Steve Claridge's views on the yellows next year at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8691491.stm Thankfully he is quite positive so he's alright by me (even if his Guardian scouting reports are always ridiculously positive in the e...

That particular chant being sung two seconds into the goal celebrations certainly was a little ridiculous I thought. Like you, I had no idea on whether the first Potter goal was legitimate so while I was unhappy with the decision, I certainly didn't assume it was a wrong one. I also thought that Wil...
