Re:

My kid is now grown up. Hardly much force involved. A big storm in a tea cup. Amazing how some things get blown up out of all proportion. What injuries has this lad suffered. None. Assault isn't about injury. It is about inappropriate use of force or aggression or causing someone to fear inappropri...

Ball boy was a disgrace in my opinion. I want to beat the scum more than anything but it is unacceptable for employees or representatives of the club (which ball boys are) to engage in petty and petulant cheating. Club should get rid. Embarrassing for the club and fans that think a push warrants ema...

Can’t believe people are getting fussed by this. Anything that looks to kick start a partnership with one of the county’s biggest employers is to be applauded as is a scheme which should help to get more bums on seats. I take it everyone who is against this is also against student/NHS/armed forces d...

I think Payne was brought in and Bully dropped because of the lack of goals and CW wanted more attacking options to combat this. However I thought our defence was noticeably exposed on a number of occasions particularly when the ball was pulled back to the edge of the area, a spot where Bully is usu...

Re:

the problem started when the stewards tried to clear the stairways. a supporter took exception to something (i've no idea what), but dealt with this by pushing one of the stewards down the stairs and onto some of the seated oxford supporters. he was then bundled towards the exit by other stewards, ...

I agree I think Creights offers a bit more experience and nouse at the back. I was dissapointed how often there was a gap between Worley and Wright and their strikers got in between. I could see Wright telling him he had to talk more.

I think west ham wanted to do cheap seets and Oxford were worried they weren't going to get the money they expected so have come to an agreement.

Re:

This will be only my 2nd OUFC game against top flight opposition, the first being my very first game just over 18 years ago, at Aston Villa, also in the 2nd round of the League Cup, (2nd leg 7 October 1992). So here's a question - How many times have Oxford United played top flight opposition in a ...

Re:

dr. bob's point about the police's attitude is the key one for me. if i've had a bad experience about the way a football crowd has been policed, it's almost inevitably down to that. there can be an air of 'guilty until proven innocent' about some of the policing i've seen around football. in terms ...

On the whole I would say yes they are over policed. I remember when we went down to Woking the season before last when we took over most of the ground. Vast number of police which shut down every bar in the town after the game. Neadless to say there wasn't even a sniff of trouble. The police will al...

Re:

I may live well outside the county, but at least I return regularly to do my sonly duties and so can pop into the stadium if a ticket needs buying or collecting. What really p'd me off is the news that, this season, I shall only be able to listen to Radio Oxford commentaries online through Yellow P...

The one question everyone has been talking about, but WPL didn't even mention last night ... Have they something to hide? Will vuvuzelas be banned from the stadium? I don't honestly think we need to ban them as the first person to blow one will have it inserted so far into an orifice it will put an...

Some food for thought about Luton and the EDL and football hooligans in general: http://www.socialistreview.org.uk/article.php?articlenumber=11183 An interesting article. I think most people can see that the EDL are one of the biggest jokes going and that their membership is made up of cluless thug...
