I'm not saying that signing Futcher means that Creighton can't be accommodated and I personally think that we should keep him, but given that there are rumours going around that MC has been told he can find a new club, signing a 6 foot 7 centreback very much in the Creighton mould appears ominous.

Ben futcher Just seen this: http&#58//www&#46footballbuster&#46com/pages/posts/oxford-and-gills-are-favourites-for-futcher876&#46php? ...and now this, which pretty much says the same thing but is obviously from a slightly more reliable source. http&#58//www&#46skysports&...

Calvin Zola has been mentioned by some claiming to be 'in the know' but considering he cost Crewe a lot of dosh and has turned down several other moves ostensibly for geographical reasons I can't see it happening...you never know though.

Re:

I don't buy the &quotJack Midson&quot is God hype. Nor do I. I don't think any of our players are &quotGod&quot. Josh Payne IS God. I wonder why we signed Jack in the first place . Feel sorry for the bloke, although will be interesting to see how he does at Southend. I wish him well...

Re:

For me players like Hall, Baker, Payne are all too similar and insufficiently talented to progress us. I'd disagree about Payne GY. He looks a class act to me (and only 19 so a lot more to come). He can win a tackle and for once, we have a footballer who is prepared to shoot and sometimes even on t...

In response to someone criticizing his performance and attitude, and that of the team in general, after Macc he wrote: &quotIf uve got a problem direct it at the people who are meant to be stopping goals, I'm a forward not a defender!&quot Not in the Deering mould of regrettable Facebook com...

Slightly surprised at the timing with Wright out and Creighton only just coming back from his broken toe. I can only assume Wright isn't far away from returning now. Assuming that we don't have any more injury woes, I see a transfer window move for him. http://www.mansfieldtown.net/page/NewsDetail/...

Re:

Would the club be entitled to some sort of youth development sell-on clause like Torquay had with Matt Green? Oxford will definitely be entitled to compensation if LSD goes on a free transfer, but I suspect that United will be looking to get a fee for him. He's got two years left on his contract so...

Potter rarely beats his man? Come and see me before the next match and I'll lend you some matchsticks. These will help you keep your eyes open during the game. Seriously, Potter is a class act. And I think losing LSD will come back to bite us on the bum. This might be the first time I've eve...

Re: Educating my boss

Simon Heslop , who joined from Barnsley on a three-year deal – the longest contract handed out for many a year - has scored three long range screamers this season, even though his midfield partner Asa Hall (0 goals so far) is reckoned to be the bigger goalscoring threat. I believe Beano, Clarke, Wr...

Sounds great I may well pop in! I must say, though, that the pies, locally sourced ingredients or not, have disappointed me at the Victoria on more than one occasion.

Re:

Bulman has been asked to play the Chapman / Murray roll, which isn't his forte. If he was asked to play the Mad Dog roll in midfield, I'm sure he'd excel. Agreed, but we need an anchor within the 433 to allow Hall and Heslop the freedom to get forward and support our forward line and to keep things...

I completely agree Kelvin-wise. Chris Williams (who organized the return of my bag, mentioned in the article) deserves lots of credit too.
