Re: Should I go to the match?

In your situation, I could think of plenty of better things to spend twenty quid on. I'll be there, but I've got a ST and will be getting one next year. Thing is, this 'Supporting Oxford United' caper is pretty much a life sentence. I've missed a couple of home games this season - Barnet and Fleetwo...

Re: MAJOR CHANGES NEEDED AT OUFC

I agree witrh KY. This is a forum for opinions, whether you agree with them or not. I disagree with some of the opinions expressed on here, in the same way as some contributors disagree with mine. There are bound to be times when the way in which views are expressed will seem inflammatory, and Steve...

Re: Fans' survey

I completed it too. By comparison with an awful lot of other clubs, the matchday experience is pretty good imho - you can park, get something to eat or drink in or around the ground, you get a good view : I know the pitch is awful, but so are lots of others. But there are things they can do without ...

Disinterested....

.....fed up, bored, frustrated, demotivated, unenthusiastic and can't wait for the end of the season.

That is all.

Re: Edgar David's view of Jake Wright

Davids is quite right though - Jake Wright has been *insert superlative or hyperbole as you see fit* this season. I have no idea why other clubs haven't come in for him.

Maybe they have, and IL/CW chose not to say so.

Re: Talking Torquay

Good assessment from KY. I thought the new stand was a great improvement, as were the toilets. Having reached 'a certain age' the matchday experience is an important factor in deciding whether to go to an away game and I'm happy to pay £20 to sit under cover in a decent stand with plenty of legroom,...

Re: Rugger off ...

Can I be controversial for a moment ? The last couple of weeks I've watched the Football league show and compared to some grounds, our pitch is like a billiard table. For example - Blackpool,Tranmere and Walsall have dreadful pitches which resemble a sand pit and I don't believe they share with rugb...

Re: How high do you want the goal?

Would someone be good enough to wake me up at 5pm on Saturday April 27th, please ?

I am about as interested in the rest of this season as many of the players.

Re: Gas

An upbeat summary. I was miserable before, during and after the game. I thought the Gas offered nothing. They scored from 2 mistakes - whether our fault or the referee's is another debate - but we missed too many of the few chances we created. Three things I simply don't understand : 1 - why CW pers...

Re: Yellows Forum

It seems to be awfully emotional 'over there' this morning....

I don't like the design of the site. It is no good for a quick look at what's going on because it takes ages to trawl through the arguments that seem to break out regularly.

Re: Movers and shakers tonight?

I'm pleased that this place is an oasis of calm and reason this morning - albeit with strong opinions either way - after the hysteria on Twitter last night. My view ? At the risk of sounding like a woolly liberal, before I judge McCormick, there are three questions : - has the judicial system been p...

Re: Yellows Forum

If I were that sort, I might be offended by the use of the phrase 'real fan' to support Steve F's rather hysterical rant. I think I loosely qualify as a 'real fan' based upon long service || regular attendance rain or shine. But I don't happen to agree that we should jettison some of our best player...

Re: Ball boys

When you take a step back and look at the whole sorry incident and examine which of the several parties involved emerge with any credit at all, in my opinion it is only the referee. He correctly applied the rules about violent conduct. Can't think of anyone else. PS - I suspect Mooro was being a bit...
