Re: Wycombe Saturday
I don't want to appear high and mighty, but barmaidalex was only trying to drum up customers in these difficult times for the pub trade ! Whether you like the pub or not, and whether you agree or disagree with the 'entertainment' on offer, you can't blame barmaidalex for trying to make the most of w...
Pompey
OK - I'll start. Neither side deserved to win - very few chances that I can recall and neither keeper had anything to do. Cautious formation from CW, but - poor though he was - I was a bit surprised that he didn't leave Smalley on and play two up front. Williams was trying to do everything and was o...
Re: GAME OFF
.....and Kitson suspended for Saturday, presumably. Still - would rather he was available for league games.

Well put, YF Dan. Especially the final paragraph.
But I wonder what Plan B looks like, if it exists at all....

Re: Happy New Year...
After Boxing Day, I was angry. Tonight I'm quite worried that there is a wider problem. Big players - senior players, the best players we have, are making critical mistakes. On Boxing Day it was Clarkey and - to a lesser extent - Jake Wright. Today it was Johnny Mullins. I am also concerned that the...

I'm not going to be popular, but....
.....this is a discussion forum and it is about opinions, differing views etc ..... I am sick and tired of slinking away from the ground moaning about our performances. I realise we can't be expected to beat every team, but the likes of Plymouth, Bristol Rovers and so on ought to be dispatched if we...

http://www.heraldseries.co.uk/sport/10863573.Chris_Wilder__Why_I_spoke_to_Portsmouth/?ref=var_0 Well, that's alright, then. Thanks for taking the trouble to explain yourself Chris, and I really don't mind what could be interpreted as a little dig at the supporters now that you are not going to Ports...

Re: James Constable: Legend?
Saunders was in charge for 12 games and left when Norwich offered him £5k per annum, £1k more than OUFC.

Re: Paul Beasley's Fan's View
I agree with every word of Paul's assessment of the Gateshead game, including the (mildly contentious) call for Wilder's head. Obviously not my call, but I wanted him to go in November last year, and again in February. I'm not fooled by the '2nd in the league' argument either - more realistic to say...

Was it Oxtales ?
Re: Kitson
I don't really have any issue with how Kitson is performing or with the role he is being asked to play. My problem is with his temperament, especially given his age and experience. He is clearly an intelligent and articulate chap and he should have twigged that in League 2 (like it or not) there are...

Re: We Move On
There was also the small point that Southend wasted about 4 golden chances and had a decent shout for a penalty ignored by the referee.
Re: Dale fail
I accept all the caveats about 'only 5 games/injuries/playing decent sides' and so on, but I am still disappointed after the last 2 games. A few things are not clear to me : - why Whingy is so off the pace : he was really poor against Wycombe and when he was (unfairly ?) booked today, the fight drai...
