Re: Season Over?

Another annoying thing. On the iFollow commentary after the end of our first half they switched to the Pompey commentary, and then cut-it if off for the ifollow half time adverts. Then at the end of the match there is the mini-game of iFollow switching off and then switching onto Radio Oxford online...

Re: Season Over?

I still can't believe that Portsmouth bottled it. Well done to Accrington for taking 5 points from them in two weeks. With Pompey having another extra long minute's silence to delay their kick-off, I was expecting our game to finish and then have another ten minutes of holding onto our seats praying...

Re: Is Shrewd play enough?

So no favours done for us last night.
Basically we need Pompey to drop points and for us to win.
I suppose Charlton fans could still clutch at straws with both us and Pompey losing or drawing and them winning. Or even us winning and Charlton overturning a -4 goal difference.

Re: Is Shrewd play enough?

I missed most of the first half of the match as the OUFC website was unavailable. Eventually I found that I could register a different email address on the Shrewsbury site and watch there with the away commentary. Somewhat nervewracking to go 2-1 down, but then rescue our hopes of the play-offs with...

Re: Plymouth Hoe but we’re not weeds

Well that was an exciting last few minutes of Tuesday night football. Pompey came through 2-0 down against Accrington to 3-2 up in added time, to then concede a very late own goal. Leaves them one point ahead of us and we both have two games to play. Charlton were 2-1 up to concede very late to fini...

Re: Plymouth Hoe but we’re not weeds

Assuming the final two play-off spots are between us, Blackpool (2 games in hand), Portsmouth (1 game in hand) and Charlton (2 games in hand) and any one of those teams winning a game in hand moves them above us. A draw for Blackpool and/or Portsmouth would move them above us. Tuesday's games will m...

George Thorne appears on a list of reputable players who played for free. Sadly it reads he is still without a club.

Re: Handed it to them

Just when we'd got our hopes up with a last minute winner vs Gillingham and a seemingly easier run-in, we could start looking at where other teams might drop points.

Including a most unexpected result in the earlier kick-off between Slumdon and Portsmouth with two goals from an ex-Pompey player.

Re: Fishy Gills

What a result. And I had £2.50 on Long to score at 7/1 , and £1 on a brace at 125/1. I don’t like Gillingham for several reasons. That temporary stand that will never get finished and manages the worst of both worlds of being seated and uncovered. That the club owners got the stadium back from the b...

Re: Taming of the Shrews

That +9 goals in the last two games could be vital as it currently puts us above Charlton, and as we need other teams around us to drop points, hopefully our relative goal difference will improve and be the best of the play-off contenders. (Sunderland excepted, who I think are pretty much guaranteed...
