I went to the Exeter game partly in the hope of getting the Arsenal ticket after - stayed til the end of the game, stood in the queue for about 10 minutes then gave up as it was raining so much. I'm wondering if there should be a thread devoted to mistakes spotted in the Big Yellow Book, but that se...

What was the story about queuing up for Arsenal away tickets in the FA Cup after Exeter at home back in December 2002? Looking back at the fixtures, it seems it was the first home game after the 2nd round tie. 8 Dec - won 2nd round FA Cup tie 14 Dec - away at Brizzle Rovers 21 Dec - home to Exeter s...

I was wondering if they are waiting for the FA Cup game result / draw to see if there is a chance of making the FA Trophy game a ticket stub requirement. Although more likely it would be the Ebbsfleet or H&ampY home league fixtures.

Seeing the replay in ultra slow motion the handball and control is obvious. At full speed it is more of an instinctive move and although wrong it was up to the ref and linesman to spot it. I liked what a caller on radio 5 said last night. When playing 5 aside with no refs, everyone is happy to self ...

And as for the birthdays idea for the book:
perhaps players who did something memorable match day on their birthday? scored / sent off / debut.

Anyway, OUFC have played 11 times on my birthday, won once, lost 6, drawn 4.

My guess is AFC Sudbury last year in the FA Trophy, when I think they were step 4 of the National League system. (Based on competitive fixtures being League, FA Cup, League Cup, FA Trophy, Setanta Shield etc. but not Oxford Senior Cup)

Re:

all depends how these top clubs do against each other and the lower teams . That really is hedgeing your bets  What I meant to say was the number of points to get depends whether there are a group of teams all bunched at the top at the end of the season - 6 teams bunched up and they will proba...

Re:

one chicken, two chickens, three chickens.... OK it may have appeared that way - but thats not what was intended - just very poor phraseology on my part. Perhaps I should have said we, or any other club for that matter, could possibly achieve automatice promotion with 87 pts - and Oxford are not qu...

Since we have been in the BSP. the most points gained by the 2nd place team is 86. Based on the premise that if you have 1 more point than the 2nd placed team then you must be 1st  - then we really only need 87.

With only 44 to go, we are nearly half way there.
