Gone for the 4-4-2 || wingers option but frankly I don't care what the formation is so long as: 1) We play the correct players in the correct positions (no more Burgess at left back/Corcoran at right back -type scenarios). This includes signing proper full backs and proper wingers. 2) We never try w...

I thought Magilton was magnificent when he played in PRB's testimonial. Never wasted a pass. I reckon he could walk into our side even now, despite a slightly larger girth.

Re:

I'd be far happier to have a creative skillful player in midfield who can pick the right passes and through balls for fast or determined strikers to get on the end of. Yes completely agree Mally. We need to be creating more chances generally. I still think we have a player of sufficient skill/creat...

Re: Bash

No room for sentiment on a wage cap I guess. Purely on footballing terms, I'd take a single Bash before ten Robinsons, no question. I don't buy this &quotIt was a footballing decision&quot. I'm more persuaded that it was mainly because we gave Marv two years so can't get him off the wage bi...

Re:

it would appear that we are building a squad around that loveable 5-3-2 formation again, doesn't it? No, no, no. Not ever that again. Jim has to prove to me that he's learnt from his mistakes last season, and this was one of the biggest. No, no, no absolutely no. I will not be buying a season ticke...

Blimey - I wasn't expecting an inquisition! But then, nobody expects... :D Right - first game v Chester 1978. 0-0. It was pants and I was hooked. Have always dabbled with season tickets, had one when we were in the top flight, and again in the mid 90's, but then was much more infrequent in my attend...

I will definitely be sorry to see him go. Burge sort of reminds me of Trevor Hebberd, another midfielder who was brilliant on his day but frequently invisible - and who also got heaps of abuse every time he misplaced a pass, at least until the Milk Cup final anyway. Sadly, getting rid of Burge sends...

Re:

I'm probably the only one who thinks this but I quite liked Grebis and I don't think he was given a proper chance. Once the news got out about Jim not actually watching him I felt he was dumped with undue haste. No, you're not the only one. I would have liked to have seen more of him as well not on...

That would mean we would have to do the same. Salisbury City? Forest Green? Doesn't bear thinking about, does it? :(

I went up yesterday and while I enjoyed it very much (particularly Cookie's century), I was a bit miffed by the bad light stoppages. The one which prompted an early tea maybe, but the other two - I had my sunspecs on at both times the umps conferred! 8)

Isn't Zebra contracted to Millwall for another year?

Can't see us getting either of these tbh. We'd be better focussed attempting to pinch players from other Bluetinpotpremier clubs.

Pretty much agree with YF Dan. Yemi has to prove that he's got end product to go with his pace. What he's improved on this year is his positioning and timing of his runs and also his ability to beat defenders, but the end product has more often than not been disappointing. Provided he's willing to c...

If it were a one-off, I would say it would be about equal. But we are Oxford fans, and we have had to put up with abject misery for quite some time now. To have the hope we had, that the corner had been turned and we were on the way back up, dashed by the width of a post was very hard to take indeed...

Re:

Get rid of: ... Gilchrist (good enough but fitness issues and too expensive), ... Duffy (not good enough) I don't think Gilly is good enough imho. His distribution from the back was simply appalling this season and was getting exposed for pace frequently. Duffy is good enough but needs an attitude ...
