Re:
Ah well, science, as any quantum physicist (or cosmologist) could tell you, is never totally accurate. Hmm. Sounds like postmodernism to me. To echo Recordmeister, what is the difference between 'totally accurate' and 'rather accurate'? :) [Edit: smiley added in the vain hope of making me seem less...

Re:
Isn't accuracy an absolute? Surely something is either accurate or not. Depends on the context. If you throw a javelin, aiming for 40.325m and you hit 40.328m, is that accurate? What about 40.227m or 40.122m or 32.839m? If you aim for treble 20 and hit treble 5 that isn't accurate regardless of if ...

Dear Admin, For some reason recently there seems to be a massive incursion of new posters on this forum. Can I suggest that you rectify this immediately by changing the the look of the forum, squeezing the readable area into the leftmost inch of the screen and banning anyone who so much as mentions ...

Oh, dear, I would so like a copy. (I have still yet to see Wilder's arse-sliding celebration - I was stuck after midnight trying to watch stuttering illegal streams of Sky which was running a full 45 seconds behind RadOx, and my dad phoning from home about 15 seconds before any interesting event in ...

As I pointed out elsewhere, 'regular' is not much use. Once a season is regular. They need to have agreed to send frequent summaries for it to be of any use."Sideshow Rob" wrote:regular summary

Re:
1. Do you think that Crawley’s barrister at no point in the FA hearing mentioned the fact that a petition containing 5,000 signatures had been drawn up protesting about the way the points deductions had been handled? 2. Do you think the Crawley Trust forgot to mention the details of the petition wh...

BTW that press-release from the Conference is a disgraceful example of spin. "The fact that the tribunal changed the penalty shows that we applied the penalty correctly, and we are pleased to annouce that our review will report 2-3 months later than expected".

Re:
One has to separate the justice angle from the legal angle here. Based on all the rules that led to this, it is obvious that Crawley had a basis for appeal and Oxford didn't. You can't appeal against the rules being crap and unjust, you can only appeal against misapplication of the rules. As usual I...

Re:
I'd suggest that the most constructive option would be for RO to invite Sam to take part in some kind of Kickout-style activity. If he chose not to then the obvious answer would be to terminate his sponsorship, but if he did take part, it might be a good outcome for all involved.
