Re: New signings
When the much fancied manager leaves they will be relegated (yes, I know he's signed a new contract). I guess McAleny would find a new club but this was an important move for him

Re: New signings
Conor McAleny joins two-bit cloggers Fleetwood Town. I feel upset on our behalf but also sorry for him - surely he would have had offers from decent teams? It's hard not to see this as a mistake, to join a club with no fans who will be back in the Conference within a few years.

Re: The Runners and Riders...
Hmm, I've seen Tisdale's Exeter side be pushovers on several occasions - and that's just against Us! Boxing Day 2012 we won comfortably at SJP under Wilder, and I couldn't believe they kept playing everything out from the back every time, even at 3-0 down, despite the fact that we kept dispossessin...

Re: The Runners and Riders...
His achievements with a very low budget with Exeter have been impressive. He knows the League like the back of his hand. His sides play good football, and he has on several occasions produced teams that have outplayed us with our rather larger playing budget. He's been at Exeter for a long time, su...

Re: The Runners and Riders...
Yes Adkins might be OK or the hard Scot Alex Neil. More likely to be someone no one expects, asst manager from Accrington or somewhere

Re: Appleton IN
Football is very short term, isn't it? I guess he felt that if he didn't get the budget he wanted this year and we finished lower mid table, and similar next season, he would be just another run of the mill lower division manager and might never get another chance at big money and status.

Re: Where are they now?
Ah well, I imagine we didn't offer him enough money, he will have been on a low wage as he signed from non-league. He was a great character and sometimes a great player, but sometimes a bit of a liability. I am confident we can get someone better but let's get on with it!!

Re: End of season review
I don't buy the argument that 'this was our chance'. We finished 8th despite sometimes looking a bit feeble, never having a settled side, and suffering quite a few injuries and unexpected absences. Imagine how good we'll be with a couple of stronger and more experienced forwards, a full-time left ba...

Re: Season ticket prices
Maybe the most appropriate comparison is of 'home ends'?

Re: Football League Trophy
I thought we played a lot of good stuff actually, but no cutting edge. Fleetwood were horrible but are obviously experts at snuffing teams out. They'll soon fall down the pyramid again I hope
