Re: End of the 50:50

Re: End of the 50:50
It's not really profitable , it's millions in debt and has few assets
Re: Hemmings
I had forgotten about GVK but he's probably not a 'lone striker' type. Thomas is knackered after an hour so we need a good substitute. I'd be delighted if Roberts came into his own but it looks like we are one short.
Re: Hemmings
I loved Andy Thomson. Almost a great striker, but in fact couldn't hit the proverbial bear's arse when with us. Went off and did well elsewhere.

Pompey
Well that was all right wasn't it? What a lot of talented players. It's early days, but that lot could go far. If he stays fit it's easy to imagine Wes scoring most weeks from a yard or so, or a bobble off his bum. I guess it takes a lot of practice to get that lucky. Oddly, our least impressive pla...

Re: Cheltenham
Ah well, new team that got more and more disjointed with the subs. No one looked great but they're an athletic bunch who can only get better. I was concerned that we didn't get hold of the midfield at all - enter Swedish bloke.

Re: New signings
Makes you realize how much it's just a job - McAleny joins no-mark cloggers to be near his mum and Maguire goes to the worst team we played last year, presumably because they were the northern team who offered most money.

That's odd - might only be 10,000! I guess they mean six figures.

Re: New signings
He probably demanded a three year deal to sign, possibly accepting a lower yearly rate than he would have got with a two year contract.
