Re: Indonesians taking control.
As a natural born cynic, I am always suspicious as to why issues around exactly who owns football clubs, with what shareholding, etc, are so often a matter of such incredibly tight confidentiality, up there with state secrets. But that seems to be the modus operandi nowadays. As for Thohir's Ministe...

Re: Shaking the ketchup bottle
I agree with much of what KY says, but I have to disagree with his comments about Taylor's goals. The first goal involved a sharp turn in a very tight spot and a tidy finish through the keeper's legs. The second was really well worked - the cross to the back post over a crowded box, great header bac...

Re: Them 1 - 2 Us
This was all about the result. Yes the pitch was a disgrace, over-watered and so much sand, but we lacked any real tempo to make the most of our possession in the first half against a demonstrably inferior team. I agree with KY that Stevens needs to calm down and be a bit more measured when coming f...

Re: Suffolking improvement?
Dull performance, dull game, but a point that keeps us in the mix. Digging up the question of the run of victories being against teams outside of the top-however-many-you-choose-to-make-your-point, the only way that run would continue against the best teams in the division would be if we were way ah...

Re: What a difference a day makes
Absolutely, KE! To come back as we did from a goal down, having really struggled to get going against a side that pressed very well and on a pitch that did not help our style of play, was powerful sign of resilience.

What a difference a day makes
So, the game against Wigan has been postponed for 24 hours. Do those of you around Oxford reckon that the extra 24 hours will give the pitch time to defrost and be playable? If the temperature there now and as forecast for the next 36 hours is anything like Nottingham, I find it hard to believe. Is ...

Re: Don & Dusted
Great finishes from the new boys last night, and it's better to win a scrappy game than not win it. My god was that scrappy though. For once, it was our quality finishing that made the difference, as we buried two of our three great chances, while Rovers missed all of theirs. I'm glad our new loan ...

Re: Don & Dusted
Honestly, I agree with pretty much everything KY says, but I agree with Dan on several points as well. Henry's passing fluctuated between disappointing and woeful. Kelly was awful. Gorrin was seriously off-colour. Barker has serious pace (when he is not failing with fancy flicks) and I thought in th...

Re: NINE (count 'em) in a row
"It goes without saying"? Really KY. I disagree totally - it does need saying, and celebrating. As for the other issue, regardless of whether or not Tinpot Trophy games count - or are counted by individuals to suit their preferred narratives, we have either equalled or broken the club's al...

Re: NINE (count 'em) in a row
I mean if you start a run when so far down in the league, you have to beat teams above you. When we started the run, more than half the teams we have beaten in the league were above us. That shows we should have no fear going forward. Let’s not forget that we went into November (November!) bottom (...

NINE (count 'em) in a row
Starved of live footie, this year I have even taken to watching the tinpot trophy games online. As the RadOx commentators said, with a starting line-up that included six who would probably not currently be in a first-choice 11 - and we still went 3-0 up and saw the game out comfortably. OK, so Hanso...
