Interesting to know therefore how their Conference wage here compares to the league 2 wage they were offered elsewhere...

Now Turley has also signed a new 2yr deal at the club as well. What is interesting me is the comments that he and Quinn have made (and that have been quoted on the website) about how different the place feels now (&quotlike a new club&quot) and how positive it all feels post-Kassam and how t...

Hopefully the Gilchrist move will prove more productive than certain other recent homecomings, but I'm reasonably happy about that one. The value of Quinn rejoining will probably depend on who else comes in in midfield - I'm more interested about which of our OOC keepers stays... Shame about Sills, ...

The problem is in attitude among players and managers alike and until that changes football will not be rid of the problem. What has annoyed me most is the logic employed when confronted with allegations - Henry seems to excuse his actions on the fact that the defender should not have blocked him be...

New evidence

New evidence has emerged this evening which has again raised the possibility of previously undiscovered nerve and pain connectors between different seemingly unrelated parts of the body. One previous case, dubbed I believe the Rivaldo effect, showed that there is a pain sensor in the face directly l...

Nice try from Scolari today - our player should not have had a yellow card for kicking someone, because they had gone against the convention of fair play and not given the ball back - nice one.

Oh, and the guy who headbutted another player should not be banned either....

and in any case Hiddink is already sorted for a job and Scolari would still have turned it down and at least we can focus on the tournament knowing Sven will be out of the picture soon. I'm not sure what waiting would have done to help the decision making process anyway - except shown us what a mise...

I wonder whether Patto has stated a preference to stay as Youth coach rather than Reserves/Asst to Smith? It may be if he cannot have the top job he's decided to stay doing what he knows and enjoys until a better opportunity comes along. Doing that does not automatically mean he is ruling himself ou...

One question - is there any potential security issue for either myself or admin through accidentally opening a spammer thread (eg. by moving up the list using next thread without checking first) ??? If there is then I would suggest registration, if not, then like most it seems, I like the ideal of o...

Re:

But post-Kassam, the youth system has more pressing matters to attend to, I would have thought, than where the kids spend their summer holidays. More a matter of post-relegation than post-Kassam, as the drop meant our grant funding was cut in half straight away. Merry has indicated that he will mak...

Zeke - know anything about Seacoast United ?

Who are Seacoast United then?

Is it a proper club competiting in the US Soccer League setup or is it some other type of organisation/youth club?

Don't know anything about this link up from our end, but would feel more excited (OK, intrigued) if I knew more about who they are....

Re: Bored

The ol' ship ain't as leaky as it used to be. That must be about as close as you have ever got to paying Kassam a compliment!!! (Insert here any combination of punctuation devices that indicate humour as I'm always scared to use the wrong ones) Don't worry, the fixtures are out in a few days and it...

Furthermore I think he has now been officially appointed.

The Rix to Wycombe link has amused me, although the way their form declined since Christmas you would have thought he was already in charge there.......

Crawley have, or have applied to, go into administration, but did so after the season ended, so they will receive a ten point penalty which will come into effect next season rather than retrospectively this season, so we are already ten points clear of bottom place (when was the last time that was t...
