Re:

Because the Altrincham, Scarborough, Canvey Island, Carshalton/Leigh issues have not damaged their credibility at all have they. Welcome to non-league....and it is only a matter of time before we get caught up in something too.. Sorry? Why do you say that then? Are you telling me the club is misman...

Re:

What a farce. I remain amazed that the Conference Board are allowing this to continue as it completely undermines the credibility of the top tier of the non-league pyramid. Because the Altrincham, Scarborough, Canvey Island, Carshalton/Leigh issues have not damaged their credibility at all have the...

A First for Oxford?

Is Oxford the first former winner of the League Cup not to qualify for entry into a subsequent competition?

Oh, how the mighty.......etc!

Also wonder whether there are any other English counties apart from Oxfordshire without a league club?

Jamie Slabber has just handed in a transfer request at Grays.

I seem to remember him getting some glowing reports last season and he came thru th e Spurs youth system, so he may be worth going after, depending on wages and any fee required I guess...

Don't forget, we only get to see the players in games, the management see them in training every day, which is a far better basis on which to make a decision about a players' attitude. Also, In the past, giving a player a 3 month deal rather than 1year have often been an indication that there is a p...

Out of Administration at last

Can I be the first to congratulate the club on finally coming out of administration (as per report on club site).

The new lad Clapham sounds good too

The wage cap does cause us more of a problem if it stops us using whatever superior finance we have to hand to &quotRoman&quot-ise our squad for this season. Yes, we are probably allowed more to spend than almost any other club, but perhaps this year is one of those few occasions where a clu...

I think structured reserve league football may become a thing of the past in the fairly near future, as more clubs are looking to arrange ad hoc friendlies against local sides when it suits both parties, rather than having to head off to the deep blue yonder during busy first team periods because th...

I cannot comment on Duffy himself, but a lot depends on where we are with the Wage Cap - a detail that noone seems to be able to establish it seems. If we are right up against the limit, then is Duffy a good use of our last few pennies? If we had just enough to convince an experienced striker to dro...

Looking at that list, I'm not sure we are that much worse off than before! Discounting Joey, if you could pick any four of that list as our strikeforce for this season I'm still not sure we would be full of confidence.... I suppose pre-illness Brooks, an interested Mooney, a not injured Steele and a...
