Yes Oxford City seemed to make some good signings and I thought that they could do well.
With this American at the helm I hope that Fordy will not be under pressure if they lose a couple more.

Re: Where are they now?
Saw Aaron Woodley, Sam Warrell and Andy Gunn, plus and ex youth teamer Conor McDonagh, all for play North Leigh v Didcot yesterday. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/northleighfc/news/local-derby-success-1023354.html Thought about City v Brackley, but didn't after reading Winters was injured. Already s...
Re: Confused
I tend to agree Slappy. I think that we were very poor on Saturday. The passing was terrible and we had little width especially in the first half. In my mind CW got it wrong. Williams he said after the game was on fire in training. Why not start him then and if Potter playing behind Beano was not wo...
Confused
OK my view at the start of the season was that we would be tight at the back and that we would rely on Kitson to potentially break down opposition defences, but would not score heavily. It is very early days but defensively we have not been particularly good. Even with Mullins in the side who I beli...

Re: Homophobia
As the old saying goes football reflects society, so I certainly have never thought that OUFC have a more sophisticated and mature breed of supporter. As a whole group then maybe, but there are a whole lot of different individuals and some will behave with less 'sophistication' than others. With reg...

Re: Season kicks off for youngsters
It is good to see Roberts scoring. Maybe I am being a little unfair, but disappointing so far that Ty Marsh is not kicking on. I would hope that he will do well in these games to the extent that he is seriously knocking on the first team door (through excellent performances and scoring goals rather ...

Re: Riviera thought process
I agree with everything said. We obviously won 3 in a row at the start of last season, then lost 5. Hopefully we are a far more resilient team this season and as well as Kitson, if fit then Mullins could make a huge difference (Dubes was very good but didn't play a lot of last season) One very minor...

Re: Josh Payne sent off...
Frustrating as Payne had ability and showed flashes of talent.
But he is letting himself down through his temperament.

It seems that a lot of the old players are making the effort, so let's hope that it is a big success.

Re: Season kicks off for youngsters
Good news and hopefully the young guys will get plenty of games. I am a little surprised that Roberts isn't starting in the Development Squad (I know that he came on as sub). He was in the first team squad a couple of times last season and I thought hat he may be fast tracked a little. When we get i...

I hate this 'Americanisation' of the football 'brands'.
What use is this? Will it seriously 'grow the brand' more than Hull City Football Club?

Re: Bury HAT !
It sounds like Bury were a little unfortunate against Chesterfield last weekend and they had a good result v Crewe in the week. So they will be no pushovers and it is a very good test- back to 'real' League 2 games I will go for a tough 1-1 result which will be a big disappointment Rose and Harrad s...

Re: Out of the League Cup
I agree that we probably should have played a stronger team (although ODowda for example got his first start which is surely a good thing) I don't actually agree that the plan was to sit back and hit them through long balls. CW could easily have gone in with a more defensive 4-3-2-1 formation and sa...

Re: Out of the League Cup
I went and thought that overall we were outclassed. Having said that things were very tight in the first half and we had as many chances as them in that half. Three of their goals came through deflections and we didn't have the breaks (it sounded like Accrington had all of the breaks V Middlesbrough...
