Re: Ox Files
My other thought was the Appleton team that got promoted out of league 2 was incredibly strong for that division, I'd argue that team is better than the one we have now (certainly a number of that team are playing at a higher level). I'm surprised, looking back, that we only finished 3rd. I guess t...

Re: What a difference a day makes
What a difference a day, and then another hour, and then a 40-minute fire delay(!) make! Given all that has gone on since Friday lunchtime, that ended up being a big game to win - especially after going behind - and should mean our mojo is well and truly restored after that blip against Donny. Start...

Don’t they play on astroturf though?

Re: What a difference a day makes
I think it's a good idea to give the game as much chance as possible to go ahead this weekend with both teams prepared for it. Quite apart from anything else, postponements mean that there are fewer and fewer Tuesday nights available later in the season so trying to reduce congestion where we can is...

Re: Where are they now?
My local rag will report tomorrow that former U (and willy-waver) Gavin Whyte will take a loan move to Hull City after struggling to get into the Cardiff City side since Neil Harris took over from Neil Warnock.

Re: Suffolking improvement?
Well if we're lobbing around HMHB quotes, I welcome the result because it's a positive step towards making us mathematically safe ... It reminded me of a dreadful 0-0 draw we had at Southend back in October 2018 . I had the misfortune to attend, and it was an awful spectacle - but it came after a te...
Re: Rotten
I had a premonition of what was going to happen, so I took advantage of Welsh lockdown being over and took myself off up a mountain with no mobile reception so I didn't succumb to temptation to follow the game. Still seething at the result and what I've read about the match. My main thought - simila...
Re: on trial
The Oxford University vaccine, at 70-90% effective, sounds promising. Apparently there's also an Oxford Brooke vaccine - it's 15% effective and still in bed.

Re: Red fire coming out from his Gills
Can I just point out that we had a very good centre back, and sold him during the summer, for what many regard as a pittance. Had we got him sorted on a long term contract 18 months ago, we would now either have a decent centre back or funds for a decent centre back. Agree with the first sentence, ...

Agree, OY. And I'd add that if you don't drop Simon Eastwood when his confidence is shot and he's regularly costing us a goal every game, when do you drop him? We keep hearing good things about Stevens and how "he is determined to take his chance next time it comes around" - so why not gi...

Derby day dawning
So, after being awarded three points last night by the FA to make up for the fact that we weren't playing a club with any right to exist, we now have to prepare for a game on Saturday against one of the few teams in Div 3 whose start has been almost as bad as our own. Have to say, I'm worried about ...

Re: Where are they now?
Because I'm a glutton for punishment, over the last five days I have watched both Wales v Ireland and Wales v Bulgaria on S4C, and been impressed by Tyler Roberts (14 games, 0 goals, 2016/17 season) in both matches. Even with my average Welsh, I could fathom the commentators being equally glowing - ...
