Leo Thomas Earl Roget, born Ilford, first had a trial with Oxford in the Summer of 2002, but Ian Atkins failed to take him on and he ended up moving to Brentford, a division higher. After almost two seasons at Griffin Park he joined Rushden & Diamonds, who were indulging in a headlong plunge to relegation, before coming to Oxford on a two-year deal. Roget is a solid centre back, with a bit of a reputation for picking up bookings. He was once sent off when playing for Southend against Oxford, despite the actual culprit being white. So it goes.

His time at Oxford has shown him to be, at best, prone to goal-conceding errors, and at worst, crap. When new manager Brian Talbot arrived in the summer of 2005, he told Roget that if he was able to find another club then he could leave on a free transfer. Instead, Roget chose to prove to Talbot that he was worth a place, and after impressing in a League Cup defeat at Gillingham, Roget soon proved himself to be a much-improved defender, and was in the running to be player of the season. However, his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2005/06 season.
