Jefferson Lee Louis, born Harrow, joined United, initially on a non-contract basis, from neighbours Thame United, following a brief spell at Her Maj's Pleasure. He made his full debut in the final game of the 2001/02 season at home to Darlington and was rewarded with a short-term contract at the start of the 2002/03 season. Louis came on in leaps and bounds while at United, but had a lot to learn. He was a strong forward who displayed an eye for goal, but too often neglected to play the simple ball when it was available. He played himself into the United hall of fame by scoring the goal that beat swindon in the FA Cup 2nd round, live on TV, after which he showed the watching nation his arse on hearing that the Us had drawn his fave club Arsenal in the next round. Unfortunately his form dipped after that match and he too often appeared lethargic and off the pace. He also incurred the wrath of Old Bill again with his less than legal motoring escapades (allegedly). Has played for more clubs than any other ex-Oxford player.
