It would appear that United have eventually made an offer to Crawley Town for striker Ben Abbey, thought to be in the region of £45,000, based on number of appearances. Oxford are in competition with Exeter City for his signature, which the receiver (Crawley are in administration) won't decide until Thursday, which rules out Abbey for the Everton game. Abbey won't be the only one not there, as ticket sales for the United section have been so slow that it is anticipated the seats will be unreserved and only on the upper tier. Fewer than 400 had been sold as of lunchtime today.
It is believed that Pentith has still not yet served papers on the City Council or GOSE to officially announce his intention to apply for a Judicial Review.
