In a reversal of Saturday's result Oxford United reserves, including triallists Stephane Léoni and Frankie Bennett beat Luton reserves 4-2. United's goals were scored by Derek Lilley from the penalty spot (after Bennett had been fouled by the Luton 'keeper), Simon Weatherstone, Jamie Lambert and Jamie Cook. Ben Abbey didn't play due to his contract not being ready, and Portuguese player Fua also failed to appear as his international clearance wasn't yet ready.
Jody Craddock, once linked with United, has joined Sheffield United on loan from Sunderland. According to Soccer Update's gossip page Joey Beauchamp has been linked with Everton and Derby.
David Leworthy scored again, his ninth of the season, for Kingstonian in their 1-0 win at Welling to take them to the top of the Conference for the first time ever.
