FAREWELL ‘SAINT JAMES’

From the Rage Online newsdesk Tuesday, February 1st, 1994

So goodbye then Jimmy
here’s wishing you well
With your rise up the ladder
in your move to the Dell.

It’s a kick in the guts
so close after Leeds
Yet I know it’s a job
and you have your needs.

When class leaves this club
it always causes us pain
For now you’re ‘Ex-Oxford’
and on your shirt is your name.

But all that we ask is that
in your heart keep a place
For the little club Oxford
and the dream that we chase.

Don’t forget us back here
because we think you’re great
And never forget
That it’s swindon we hate!!

Toast
