As exclusively revealed onRage Onlin yesterday (see below) another potential problem …

As exclusively revealed on Rage Online yesterday (see below) another potential problem to Kassam's plans to build a multiplex at Minchery Farm has revealed itself. Nick Pentith, of Pentith Developments (the company hoping to build a multiplex on the Oxpens site) is planning to seek a Judicial Review (JR) to oppose the building of the multiplex at MF. He plans to submit the claim to the High Court Central Office in London in the next two or three days and will be hoping to overturn the granting of planning permission by the City Council and the failure to have the application called in by the Government Office of the South East (GOSE). Mr Pentith claims never to have heard of FOUL and to have been unaware as to the implications of his actions on Oxford United. Apparently a JR doesn't act as an injunction, but it is likely to affect the way the Council acts and they are unlikely to ratify the planning consent until this issue is settled. If the delay is significant then this will be the first real test of Kassam's commitment to United.
Last night's reserve game at Peterborough saw an injury to Peter Fear added to that suffered by Paul Powell last Saturday, and Anthrobus and Davis have also missed training with minor knocks. At this rate the starting line-up at Bristol Rovers is going to include Banger, Allen and McGowan, with youth teamers on the bench.
Former U Dave Leworthy scored a hat-trick for Kingstonian as they beat Dover Athletic (his former club, of course) 4-1.
