United fight back to remain unbeaten

The U’s clipped the wings of the Robins by coming from behind to draw at Cheltenham. The U’s were forced to make two changes to the starting eleven that started at Burton due to James Constables’ foot injury and Jake Wright’s groin injury.
Cheltenham started the brightest and the opening goal came in the 8th minute as the U’s defence gave too much space to Byron Harrison to bundle home from close range. 1-0 to the Robins.
The game was end to end with the U’s trying hard to find an equaliser and it came from route one football. Ryan Clarke kicked the ball over the half way line, Steve Elliot let it bounce and Dave Kitson was on hand to roll the ball into the bottom of the net.
The U’s fans were absolutely rocking at this point, but five minutes after the break the U’s conceded again when a loose ball fell to a gleeful Gornell to tap in to an empty net.
The visitors were trying to force an opening to equalise when a corner was awarded to the U’s and from David Hunt’s corner, The Magnet – aka Jonny Mullins – was on hand to volley the ball into the net.
Cheltenham continued to look very dangerous, but a winning goal never materialised. This game was very entertaining to watch but there were a few defensive mishaps that need to be sorted out for when Chesterfield come rolling into town next Saturday.
Can we win without Jake Wright and James Constable?
