Thorne in their side

Oxford drew 1-1 for their third consecutive home league game against Stoke City this afternoon, and United took the lead in all three. This time Joey Beauchamp gave Oxford the lead midway through the first half and held it until just eleven minutes from time when Peter Thorne headed Stoke's equaliser. Ross Weatherstone made his home debut in place of the injured Steve Davis, Neil McGowan regained his place at Paul Powell's expense, and Rob Folland returned to right wingback, with Les Robinson moving into midfield instead of the injured Paul Tait. As usual Jamie Lambert replaced Derek Lilley midway into the second half, to little effect, and later Mark Watson was forced to hobble off to be replaced by Peter Fear. As usual there's a match report.

What the ex-U's got up to today

Marco Gabbiadini scored two first half penalties for Darlington as they beat Halifax 4-0. Kidderminster's first goal in their 2-0 win over Kingstonian was scored by Mark Druce.
