Scott’s just popping out for a while…

From the Rage Online newsdesk Wednesday, March 24th, 2004

he might be some time. In fact he has now joined Leyton Orient on a one year contract.

Scott was originally going to join Orient until the end of the season, but because he was carrying a slight injury, and so wouldn’t have been able to play in their defeat against Lincoln, the move was delayed. Scott returned to Oxford for training under new boss Graham Rix, but presumably the offer of an extended contract proved too tempting for the former Brentford man.

Scott’s departure may well herald the arrival of one or more players in advance of tomorrow’s transfer deadline, especially as United are now somewhat light on the left wing. On player who has been linked with a possible move to the Us who could well fill that void, being Portsmouth winger Courtney Pitt, while it is possible that United could also extend Barry Quinn’s loan until the end of the season. Hopefully there’ll be something positive to report tomorrow.
