The only new information revealed is the mention that the Northbrook Primary School site is up for redevelopment and that Bob price says they are thinking of building a link road from BBL to the stadium site. In the short term the future of the Priory should start to become clear. Having tried to offload the expensive repairs to the building by flogging it to the Council for £1, Kassam says he is about to embark on a restoration programme. I can't imagine this will end up benefitting Oxford fans very much as I doublt that he would want the unwashed boozing so close to his nice new hotel on match days. It's far more likely to end up as a posh gastro-pub annex to the hotel.

Given that OCC want houses built and FK the profit from them, I’ve no real idea why Firoka have not already slapped in a planning application just for the dwellings as there is nothing to stop them. The new road would just be part of the s106 agreement from the profits. And as a side issue, it would be helpful if any new estate did not have any on street matchday parking restrictions.

As for the recent bit of dialogue with the Council, then there is an election coming up and all local politicians support OUFC at this stage of the democratic cycle.

The council have said that he must build
a new west stand
before he can embark
on enriching himself
further with a residential
property development.

I would go further and state that another
condition is that Firoka
must complete the stadium
as per the original planning
permission i.e fit out the east stand.

I see that AFC Bournemouth want to
build a new permanent stand. The club does
not own the Vitality Stadium either:

The granting or refusal of planning permission does not work like that I’m afraid. Show me which part of the rules and guidance says so..

This is an interesting document from the City Council. It appears to be labelled as a concultation document but reads like a policy statement. As I read it only Kassam could possibly benefit. There is no mention of a commitment to building the fourth stand but it does mention filling in the corners which I would hate to see, Even the slow worms get more consideration than the football club! I'm not clear if this is a new document or one from a year ago when the story first came up. Can anyone shed any light on this?

This appears to be the consultation which was issued in 2012 as part of the development process for the latest planning framework. It reads like a policy document because that's kind of what it is - it was presented as a draft to invite comment.

Consultation closed years ago. See Policy SP24 on page 77. Minchery plan is included as accepted.

They don't say where they would like the replacement car parking to be be located. It can only on the other side of Grenoble Road on SODC and Green Belt land (pie in the sky!) or a deal will have to be made to share the Science Park spaces. The Science Park has multi storey car park close to the stadium site but these are a real pain in the arse to exit after a football match.
