Leaving Grenoble Road tonight:

Pat Hoban has joined Stevenage on loan for a month despite sacking
Teddy Sheringham today.

Danny Rose has had his contract terminated and is set to sign for
another League Two club tonight.

Look like decent signings though I still can't see who's going to put away those half-chances in the box.

Sorry to see Rose and Hoban go, they are among my favourite players. Am sure Danny will do a good job for someone while I still think Paddy can become a reasonable Div 4 striker.

Wouldn't surprise me if Danny Rose returned for another spell at Newport County, where I have no doubt he'll do well. As for Hoban, if he can get the goals I am sure he'll get another go at Oxford. He's young, it was a big step up but he's clearly got some raw ability and just needs to get some game time.

I don't think Sam Humphreys is at Rushall Olympic.

Also Josh Ashby is on loan at Brackley Town and George Jeacock is on loan at Farnborough Town. Cameron Gayle on loan at Cambridge United.

We also have Canice Carroll in central midfield (squad number 35). Jack Stevens in goal (34). Aiden Hawtin midfield (32). AJ George midfield (27).

Ashby was on the bench vs Blackburn!

Gayle's short term deal ended and he has left.
I included both Hawtin and George.

You're right on Ashby!. My mistake. My hearing is playing up and I didn't hear the names of the subs on the PA against Blackburn, and ignored my notes that Ashby's loan finished on 5 January!

Gayle however, I have down as on loan to Cambridge until 6 February and contracted to us until 24 February. He may well not return, but I think we are still officially his parent club, unless you know otherwise!

Didn't see Hawtin and George in your list. Sorry! I was obviously too excited at being pedantic!

Not sure about the wisdom of letting a player go to a promotion rival. I understand why Rose hasn't been picked ahead of Sercs and Lundstram, but he's still a good player at this level. Underrated by many of our fans imo.

Also not sure about having two players on such short-term loans. We saw what Wolves did when Jordan Graham played well for us, so who's to say the situation will be different if Ismail starts putting performances in too? Glad to see Maguire back - he looked quality in most of the games I saw him in.

We still seem a striker light, unless we're about to change formations. I just hope Bowery is better than he looked on Saturday, and I'd love to see Danny Hylton rediscover his scoring touch.

If the loan window isn't open, how come we keep signing players on loan?!
