The Oxford side, deafened by the sound of the chasing pack getting ever closer, put in a very nervous performance littered with mistakes and negativity. The other U's pick up on this and raise their game after a slow season and go into a two goal lead. Oxford finally get their act together but can only manage a single consolation goal.

UE - one of the three graduates from the youth system actually gets to take part in the game. When interviewed afterwards they unconvincingly pretend to have enjoyed being mascot for the day.
UE2 - a fight breaks out between the home and visiting chief constables over whose decision it had actually been to play the game on a Friday night.

UE Oxford visit is not club's largest gate of season ...
Fans from both sides link hands and play ring o' roses. Plague breaks out. The Cam rises and washes away the tears.
