Weymouth Hat

Post by Pe├▒a Oxford United »

As I can't guarantee seeing this forum before Tuesday:

Stars 1 (o.g.) Terras 1 (o.g)

Attendance 5555 (555 sailors)

UE: Guy plays, heavilly strapped, but towards the end of the game he collapses, and tearing off the strapping, he dies. Odubade arrives on the scene and laments the death of his colleague: but in a vision, he sees Guy glowing ever brighter, raising himself against the skies, his heart swelling with courage, his sweet breath gently wafting from his lips.

It's about time the football season started after the school holidays or on the Bank Holiday at least.

Yellow River 3 (Constable 2, Yemi) Terracotta Army 0

4,812 (255)

The match has to restart as one of the goalposts at the fence end is discovered to be Peter Crouch who has stayed behind and painted himself white as a prank.

UE: After days on the run after the Barrow match my cat sneaks home to see what sort of reception he gets this time. Floodlight failure. Merry is seen wearing a pair of socks. The Gypsy is on holiday in Benidorm so he doesn’t strike again on a Tuesday night.

Ford 2 Muff 1

Constable, Odubade, Reed

5,215 with 312 who like Muff best.

The right back position is tainted yet again as Matt Day is sent off for being too fat.

Jake (The Peg) Cole gets a start between the sticks.

Haldane for the Us

UE: Crossed wires with the fax machine means that China's Terracotta Army turns up, while the Weymouth team visit the British Museum instead.
A fault with his sunbed sees Lewis Haldane reduced to ashes, but he still scores.
James Constable is arrested for impersonating a police officer.
Michael Husbands' wife leaves him, and he changes his name by deed poll to Michael Divorcee.

1-0 - unattractive, hard fought win ground out with late-ish winner from Murray, infornt of 5012 (127 away) gets us out of the drop-zone.

UE - Clarke made to sit in the centre-circle at half-time and write 100 lines &quotI must not raise both feet off the floor when tackling&quot.
UE2 - Number of home league debuts reaches double-figures.

UE: United play without socks as sign of support for Nick Merry but Matt Day misunderstands and appears without his shorts, oxford concede two penalties but no goals, and Weymouth commit 3 two footed tackles in the first 20 minutes without so much as a word from the ref.
