Cowboy Boot (England v USA)

Predictions as they were meant to be. Or not. Whatever.

Yah, bit like one of those early stages in Le Tour, where they let people who aren't going to affect the GC get their moment of glory in the sun. Millar's being a bit of a disappointment, seems like that chain break got to his head.

indeed - contador won't have wanted to get involved in the elbows out, bouncing off the barriers stuff for the sake of a couple of seconds. and i have to say, i'm with him on that. i've never understood the mentality of the sprinters, absolutley nuts, i've always been a fan of the grimpeurs (brill hill is hardly the same though...).

a crazy couple of stages for the end of the giro next though - contador will have to watch himself if he wants to make sure the last stage is the traditional procession.

Isn't there a specialised discussion forum where you can discuss this stuff? Presumably one sponsored by a drugs company like Balco.

I love Le Tour. Those of you that know about it keep going.

I once won a rather decent sum of money on 'domestique' (or whatever they are called) Miguel Indurain winning the tour. I remember the joy of watching him power away up a Pyrennian mountain.

Last stage is contre la montre (um, I suppose cronometro individuale) so it will only be a procession in a very literal sense. I guess the Mortirolo will have settled it by then, although there's a fair distance from the top to the finish.

Contre la montre? cronometro individuale? Mortirolo?

It might as well be a different language to me!
