Nice one Mally. Perhaps you should try a cricket based one next time to try and get a few more in! Or chess?

please god NO. i'd like to state here and now that i intend to counter any cricket nonsense on rageonline this year with lengthy posts on the tour de france (hmm... now a boot on each etape could be interesting...).

Why wait? Still a few stages of the Giro left! Can Cav win another stage?

As boot master let me state here quite clearly that no sports other than football will be allowed. - You can start your own short, shirt, jockstrap or whatever but the boot is clearly a FOOTBALL boot. Of course if you win it next season then you can set the rules.

Talking of prediction competitions. Hog, was there a final Dreamers League email that I missed?

i haven't been following the giro that closely this year - but cavendish's sprinting credentials have been clear for some time - he was so unlucky on the way to canterbury in last year's tour. great to see some real promise from the new 'clean' british generation of cyclists - and from the looks of things he has the right team round him for the giro.

glancing at the final stages though, looks a bit lumpy for him i would think?

Well, today looks fairly flat, I guess, but would would effectively be three in a row is unlikely. Friday and Saturday will be tough for him to survive and I suppose a time trial isn't his forte.

according to the write-ups for yesterday, it would have been three in a row, but the stage was a cadeau for one of his lead-out riders!

looking at the profile linked to on this page, i would think there's enough there to break up the peleton, and a climb to finish too from the looks of things.
