And to think he was being looked at by Aston Villa a few years ago. Does anyone know what went wrong, slow development, dodgy attitude??

I wonder what the story is?
I assume you mean the news that Turley has left Brackley? Doesn't look like his replacement is up to much - they lost their unbeaten record yesterday, conceding six goals in the process!

Yes, I did mean Turley and the link did go straight to the story when I posted it!

This one gets you to the News page and the story is dated 11/10/12

They were 1-5 down at halftime after being undefeated thus far this season.

I wonder if Turley had a little chuckle at the result? Or even if he could be back in the side for the next game?

I like the idea that he left 'following discussions with manager Jon Brady during midweek training'! I'm sure it was an amicable conversation...

I wonder if he got blamed for them going out of the Cup the weekend before.
He has joined twitter now @billyelvis1 and is threatening to bring a drum into the East Stand for a midweek game.

Phil Gilchrist, OUFC 1995-1999 and 2006-07, talks about his time at Leicester City, and also his appointment as director of sport at Ratcliffe College, Leicester, having finished a top-up sports science degree at Loughborough College.

[the original article I read from the Leicester Mercury had more about his time at Leicester, but I can't find it online]

OUFC play Aldershot at the Kassam stadium on 8th December.
He's gained about 50 new twitter followers, and messages of support, following the racist abuse of Blackpool's Danny Rose during the under-21 game against Serbia.

Joe Burnell, OUFC 2008-09, scored the fourth goal of his career playing for Bath City against AFC Hornchurch, according to this match report

His previous goal was for United at Lewes in September 2008. This will be remembered as one of the lowest points in our conference years, with Nick Merry strolling into a pub in town with a dolly bird on his arm before the match to a round of Happy Birthday. Neither the manager, Darren Paterson, nor the chairman had long left in their jobs.
