That didn't last long! The player-coach has left Privett Park and has subsequently joined Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier title-chasers Blackfield & Langley.

Ah theyve got Phil Brown, he could have done a job for us. Imagine if the worst thing you had to worry about was that your manager was a bit annoying

David Oldfield has now been eased out of Peterborough by Evans. Interesting tale here about how Evans had actually quit Mansfield to take a job abroad before Peterborough went for him. What an odious lying cheat he is!

Interesting - and a tad surprising - to see Michael Appleton's name crop up in this article about suspicious betting patterns involving Albanian side Skenderbeu. Fear not though: MApp is the good guy:
Another cornerstone will be the findings of an “expert panel” whose members included the Leicester City assistant manager Michael Appleton. They were asked to review incidents from alleged “appalling” and “embarrassing” play against Crusaders to “a few suspicious moments” in another cited game against Dinamo Zagreb.
To be honest, if they wanted an expert on what a team not putting in any effort looks like, they'd have done better to have asked Brian Talbot, David Kemp, Pep Clotet &c &c ad infinitum...

Just in case you haven't seen this elsewhere ...

Personally I'd be happy if BBC Oxford could use him on match commentating

Stevie Kinniburgh to manage Corby next season.

Also couldn’t past the link , but Max Crocombe won I think his first senior NZ cap the other week. (Though he’d been in the squad several times )

James Constable joins Poole Town on loan.
Beano has extended his loan at Poole til the end of the season but is sitting out the Easter fixtures having been sent of in a case of 'mistaken identity' after the final whistle in a game where he scored an injury time equaliser ...

Williamson was sat with the other injured players (Rothwell, Ruffels that I recognised) in the directors box. Didn't see the others. Williamson is an odd one isn't he? Must have some serious injury problems but we never hear anything about it. Surely will be shipped out at the end of the season.
