Max Crocombe leaving Carlisle, after an entire season sat on the bench.
It seems a great shame that young keepers like Crocombe and Jack Stephens at OUFC are not given a single opportunity to actually take to the field for months on end, or even the whole season, to show what they can do, while the #1 keeper claims some sort of kudos by playing every minute of the season.
It seems quite shortsighted to me, given that they suddenly might be called upon to come into an important game if the superstar keeper is injured or sent off.

“He came to us from Oxford United at 14-years-old and is another to be enrolled in the Coombe School. He’s a central midfielder who sits deep and has a nice eye for a pass to move the team forward.”
