Jingle Bells

Post by Kernow Yellow »

Well that was more of the same really. 60 minutes of very forgettable football, followed by Dunks' tidy finish and Gills' red card. Then a period when we spectacularly failed to kill off one of the worst sides we're likely to see this season. Even the home fans on the way out of the stadium said we should have scored five.

Still, a very welcome 3 points which sees Us very comfortably mid-table. But I've seen very little to inspire me in the last two games...

Just back - I thought the performance was good overall
culminating in a deserved win. Gills were poor but that was their
first home defeat in three months.

Ledson had possibly his best game for the U's, Taylor made a difference
and Dunkley and Nelson are developing a good understanding.
Thought John Lunny ran the midfield second half.

A word for the travelling fans - WOW

1,238 was superb turnout and very noisy too.
Will we take more to Rotherham's New York Stadium?

Maybe I was a little harsh. The central midfield pairing certainly seem to be protecting the defence reasonably well. But Ledson's distribution has not impressed me, and Lunny has had really good chances to wrap up both of the last two matches with a goal and snatched at both. The miss at Gills was appalling for this level. I think we miss Sercombe, and am delighted that he's not far off fitness again.
