"The Usual Suspects" used to mean the same managers cropping up in the line for jobs, but it now it seems to be the same clubs sacking managers time and time again:

Anyway:
11 Nov - Ian holloway gets the nod for the QPR job
14 Nov - Adam Murray's spell at Mansfield comes to an end
14 Nov - Usual Suspect club 1 Charlton sack Russell Slade after about 5 minutes in the job
16 Nov - Mansfield employ national treasure Steve Evans as manager
16 Nov - On-field implosions see off David Flitcroft at Bury
23 Nov - not to be outdone, Usual Suspect club 2 Orient sack Alberto Cavasin after 8 successive home defeats
23 nov - After being one of the longest serving managers in recent times, Karl Robinson looks set to average things out by joining Charlton

Slade was the second most recent appointment to leave (behind Zenga), but Cavasin beat them both, leaving after just 6 weeks.
In contrast, Murray had made it up to 23rd on the list, while flitcroft was in 15th.
As a result Appleton now up to 18th

Another quick stay starts the latest list:

28 Nov - Kenny Jackett barely had time to use teh coatstand before leaving Rotherham again...just 38 days
Dec 1st - Martin Allen leaves League 2 Barnet to replace Ronnie Moore at Eastleigh - left from 15th on list after two and a half years
Dec 2nd = Robbie Neilson leaves Hearts to take over at MK Dons
Dec 14th - Oh dear - Gary Rowett is ousted by new owners with Franco Zola wheeled in instead at Brimingham - left from 20th on list after just over two years
Dec 15th - Chris Brass gets the nod for the Bury job

Mapp is now up to 17th on the list - remarkably Gareth Ainsworth is now 5th longest serving manager.
Also interesting is that 7 of the 22 longest serving are in the Premier League, all of whom will have been in place for 2 years by the time the kids go back to school

Just the three managers getting their P45 wrapped in pretty paper and a bow this Christmas:

22nd Dec - Pards finally pays the price for a horrible 2016 for Crystal Palace
23rd Dec - The prodigal Sam gets the nod and a welcome back into club football.
26th Dec - BRuno Ribiero resigns from Port Vale saying he felt he had 'let the club down' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38439380
27th Dec - The US experiment at Swansea ends with Bob Bradley departing, much to the delight, it seems, of certain sections of the media who seemed to be actively against him for the audacity of being American

Slightly harsh analysis there, Mooro - I think it was quite possible to take against Bradley because of his awful set of results...

What annoyed was that many were against him before a ball was even kicked, despite having a better CV than managers that have turned up over the last couple of years. There was definitely a section of the media that appeared to feel that he had no right working in our game and who have been very quick to take delight in his struggles.
REsults have been poor, of course, so yes the tide against him was growing, but it just seems that some people are given far more time than others - and not always for the right reasons

Sacking after 11 matches seems crazy, whatever the results. Hardly time to make your own mark at all. He wasn't able to make any signings either. Most of the reslts can probably go down as mainly not his fault at all.

Coinciding with the arrival of a new owner at Notts County, they have appointed Kevin Nolan as manager. Meanwhile, his predecessor has gone back to Oldham, from whence he came.

Appleton must be up to about 10 in the list now? Has anyone got a link to the list?
